You must not have read this article very carefully. We have a very sexually adventurous life that we are not ashamed of, although it tends to make other people uncomfortable. I don’t watch much porn, but mostly because I find it largely tedious and unfulfilling. Instead I write erotica and my husband and I have actual sex with actual people.

The writer of the letter did have an active password of mine, although it was not to anything too vital or sensitive and that part did shake me a little bit even though I knew from the beginning that it was a scam. The point of this piece was less about the actual letter and it’s potential to impact my life than the discussion that it brought up with my partner. Yes, there are a lot of things that we’d just assume keep private, but not so much so that anyone could ever actually blackmail us about them because at the end of the day, we aren’t ashamed of who we are or how we live.
