While it’s quite true that unusual names come with many upsides (I have one myself and I quite like it) it’s also realistic and not inherently racist to point out that they may also have downsides. That doesn’t mean not to pick one, but it does mean to do so with eyes wide open.

“Unusual names are less likely to be successful in job interviews, research has found.

Jobseekers with Anglo-Saxon, easy to pronounce and common names are the most likely to get to the interview stage compared to candidates with unfamiliar names, according to research by the Australian National University published in the Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics.”

There’s been a lot of study around this and they always conclude the same thing. Even though it’s not right, it is what’s so.
