Where is your proof that it’s natural for a woman’s worth to be tied solely to her sexual desirability? And where is your proof that being larger than a size 6 decreases sexual desirability — because that’s what this article was about? That was my point.

It’s not any of it that simplistic in actuality. From an evolutionary biology perspective, sexual desirability of both genders is a big factor, but historically how that has been indicated in women is in wide childbearing hips, full breasts able to nurse a baby and enough meat on her bones to be healthy. The fact that the current standard is a woman so thin and frail looking that our ancestors would have passed her over means that it’s a mutable standard.

In some other species, physical display can cause males to display signs of desire (sexually)… so even bashing our *species* for the behavior is *wrong*. It is incorrect.” I haven’t the faintest idea what any of that means or how it’s remotely related to this topic.
