When I moved to Austin in the early 90s I spent 8 months looking for a job. After a while I realized that in Austin, even cab drivers have master’s degrees so I finally took a job as a legal secretary because it paid pretty well and I was running out of savings. There was a lot in your story that reminded me of all that. I now live in a different part of TX but whenever we visit Austin, I’m amazed at how much it’s changed, but in some ways also stayed the same. Glad you found your niche there.
