Very well thoroughly and well written and an interesting concept about “not proven.” Thanks so much for including my piece. I was realizing today that I really should have put in there that our current climate seems to presume that a rape victim is lying (or possibly mistaken) and unless she can prove otherwise, she’s out of luck. There is no other crime where the complainant is presumed to be making a false accusation right out of the box.

But the more we talk about this, the more the climate is apt to shift. I’ll be curious to see if rape case start showing up in civil court in the US more of the time.
