Although I agree that being intersex is fundamentally different than being trans, and is a small percentage of the population, it’s perhaps not as small as some might imagine. “The most thorough existing research finds intersex people to constitute an estimated 1.7% of the population*, which makes being intersex about as common as having red hair (1%-2%).”

But as you said, more important than whether or not biology is largely binary is the fact that it’s only a part of the equation. Awesome read!!
