There is definitely a trend in companies taking a more definitive stand. The Washington Redskins have been saying for decades that they would never change their name, but now under pressure from Fed Ex and Nike, they are seriously considering it. That's a very good thing, but I wouldn't call that "cancel culture." But then again, that's just me....
