The allegory for this all is a person of color trying to get justice in the old racist South. The quality or quantify of the facts and evidence are not the only factors by a long shot. Prosecutors don’t operate in a vacuum outside of society. They make decisions based in part on factors that have little to do with the merits of the case. To believe otherwise is somewhere in between naive and seriously misguided. It that doesn’t make sense to you already, it’s not likely anything else that I say will make an impact.
