That’s not what the scientific analysis says across many studies, from a wider variety of sources.

Guilt should be presumed because nearly all people (men get raped and assaulted too, mostly by other men) who make an accusation are indeed telling the truth. The CDC says that 1 in 3 women and 1 in 6 men will be the victim of sexual violence. If you are trying to defend or minimize that in some way then you are a part of the problem.

Talking about cases that go to trial and end in acquital is mostly an indictment of the system and not the veracity of the accusers. The system is notoriously against victims, even when there are confessions, photographs and other really concrete evidence. Check out my recent story for more on that.

You do not have facts, science, data or reason on your side. If you want to emotionally hate victims because that’s what patriarchal society has taught you, then that’s a thing, but it’s not based in truth or data. It’s based in emotions and fear and reflex and story. You choose — do you want to be rational and sane or do you want to be “right” and toeing the line of culture?
