Perjury is perjury — there is no small, doesn’t really count kind of perjury. It’s a crime and if one is convicted, they might face up to five years in prison for it. And people who lie about small things also lie about the big ones. But these so called “small” things he lied about aren’t really that small. Devil’s Triangle is entirely relevant to her assertions that two boys tried to rape her — which is exactly why he lied about it. Saying he never went to a gathering like that when it’s right there in his own handwriting on his own calendar that he did is also another relevant lie. And then there’s about 10 more lies all in the span of about 3 hours testimony. Perjury alone is sufficient reason to not elevate him to the highest court.

You keep saying you are concerned with individuals and not groups but then keep choosing positions that are entirely group-oriented. You keep talking about the culture and the way the country is going rather than the individual in question. You’ve made it quite clear that you don’t care about the integrity of the man or the office he aspires to as long as he is likely to carry your flag.

A year or so ago another conservative man who also went to Georgetown Prep and Yale was appointed to the Supreme Court without much fuss. This is all about this man, in particular — this individual. I have never once said anything about oppressors or anything remotely like that. You are projecting your own stuff into the mix. Your situational ethics on this topic is disappointing although not surprising. Good luck to you.
