J Apple Muncy, I just reread this and no, you were not the troll I referenced. We haven’t talked in some time and although we haven’t always seen eye to eye, I do believe that you bring your real self to any conversation and I would never refer to you as a troll. Your purpose is not to provoke outrage for it’s own sake. This guy was saying inflammatory things like that women were responsible for 70% of domestic abuse, which is just counter-factual in the extreme. He was saying that women were making up abuse so they could be part of some kind of sick club — really fucked up stuff that no-one would ever do and that is frankly outrageous in the extreme and instead of walking away, I just kept engaging with him because I felt I needed to for some reason. And, it did finally turn out that there was a reason and it was ultimately healing to do so.

Again, even though we haven’t always perfectly agreed, I do see you as a friend and we’ve been through enough that if I had something to say to/about you I would do it directly. You would know if I was speaking about you. Rest easy, about that, my friend.
