I’m sorry but it didn’t take me to illustrate that you don’t know what you are talking about — you did that yourself. Moral absolutes don’t work in the real world and when you judge people, women in particular, for not being able to meet your absolutist definitions you lose all intellectual and moral credibility. In the real world, women die when they leave men; hell, women die when they tell strange men on the streets that they aren’t interested in them. This has nothing at all to do with Hollywood — I’m not even sure exactly why you brought that up, since it’s entirely irrelevant to this topic. You aren’t making yourself look more like a credible, intelligent authority by pulling that in. Yes, a man who beats his wife is a horrible person and you should focus all of your attention on pointing that out to him instead of making his already victimized wife feel worse.
