I’m here writing under a pseudonym with a non-traceable profile picture because of the stigma — and I completely agree that it’s not to be equated with hardcore discrimination that people who aren’t cis, white and middle-class experience.

I also think that when well executed there is a lot of good that can be gleaned out of the poly paradigm vis-a-vis better communication, not just resting in pre-set roles, reduced co-dependancy, reduced possessiveness, etc. And, we have had some really bad experiences with poly people who lied and were completely un-selfaware— so there is absolutely no room for being holier than thou! Thanks for writing this. I’ve been a big fan since I joined Medium — now, even more so.
