I haven’t attacked you — I’ve merely pointed out that the facts do not support your position and you are still clinging to your unsupported positions anyhow. I was attempting to do that in a playful manner and seem to have botched it, so if I’ve offended you I do sincerely apologize for that.

If you’ve sensed any emotion from me, it’s because it’s fucking tiresome to be continually told you don’t know what you are talking about while citing to someone excerpts from scientific journals and the like which say things like “nearly all anthropologists agree” with the position you’ve just staked, and to have it disregarded anyhow.

I have no issue with people interpreting things in different ways or holding other positions, but you haven’t supported yours in any way that is substantive and I have, and yet I still get treated like I’m the one being defensive and a problem. This too is exceedingly tiresome.

So, I’m happy to have a friendly discussion around this, but you’ve got to meet me half way on that.
