I get this sort of nonsense regularly, even though most of my stories are filled with citations. Just yesterday I got told that I was "neurotic" for pointing out that it's not my job to educate a white man about oppression. I told him that this was privilege in a nutshell and referred him to this stellar story (which I'm quite sure he never read).
