I don’t know how we get it to stop except to keep calling it out and teaching our children to do better. As to the why we don’t teach men not to be predators — it’s because that is what they are expected to be in every other aspect of their lives, constantly vying for position on the pyramid of the dominance hierarchy that is patriarchy. Eat or be eaten is ingrained in every aspect of their lives, from sports to work. Until we significantly change our social system from domination, coercion, threat of pain, and fear, we will never truly make headway on this issue or other ones related to what place/role someone holds in the hierarchy of power. Racism, homophobia and bullying of all types will continue.
