I don't know. I had a partial hysterectomy for medical reasons 14 years ago and it was one of the best things that ever happened to me. No more mess, no bother, no embarrassing situations, no pain. I never have to think about periods or plan anything about my life around them ever again. It was just a huge relief and I couldn't have been more happy about it. I can see how not everyone might feel that way but I'm kind of surprised to hear that more people aren't jumping at this possibility, particularly once they are done having children.
