I do like you Estwald and I’ve appreciated these discussions, but I think I’m about done. You have continued to, perhaps purposefully, misconstrue the vast bulk of what I’ve said and it’s gotten a bit tiresome. I don’t give a flying fuck about feminism as an ideology, although you seem quite consumed by it. I’m a pragmatist — I care about what makes life better for the greatest number of people the largest percentage of the time. I have never once asserted that patriarchy was some secret evil plot; in fact I’ve consistently talked about how it evolved naturally. But that doesn’t mean that it’s in anyone’s best interests to have it continue, including yours. Unless you are Donald Trump or his ilk, patriarchy harms you in a variety of ways also.

What you continually resort to is something along the moral equivalent of “Well, we’ve built our whole economy on slave labor, and it would be very disruptive to change that, so I don’t think we should have to.” Although I have not once mentioned government intervention or laws as relates to any of this except to point out how until very recently the laws and customs quite explicitly subjugated and restricted women from being full citizens. There are no laws that pertain to men in the same way, no matter what MRAs say.

There is no upside to patriarchy for the vast majority of people, men included and most certainly not for women. The assertion that somehow men became better fathers is specious and not actually born out by the anthropological evidence to the contrary.

There have been some fun memes and cartoons and such in all of this, but it’s largely a Gish Gallop and I’m ready to move on to other things.
