“I do feel like way too many guys get wrapped up in what they want, though. So they can’t hear or tune into the nonverbal cues. They don’t really care about what the other person wants, and that’s where the issues come up.”

For me, this is the crux of it right there. Consent is always about where the other person draws the line and if you don’t really care about that because you feel you are somehow entitled to someone else; that they are prey you have somehow taken down, then you will not be able to read their cues because that doesn’t figure in to that kind of a scenario.
