Beautifully written and well explained. My first past-life regression I found myself in a temple such as this, with no previous knowledge of such things, except to have vaguely heard of “temple prostitutes.” The regression did not involve my training or performance of my duties as High Priestess, but was actually related to the time when these temples were being dismantled, and I was killed for refusing to leave or abandon that beautiful and sacred place. It shook me to my core and started me on a journey to better understand what I had seen/experienced and to connect more deeply with my history via meditative practices and reading.

I have since learned that the goddess I served was Ishtar, and I continue to have a resonance for her. I also continue to embrace the healing power of sacred sexuality in my life and in my work. I don’t have sexual contact with my clients but I do harness the power of Shakti and the integration of love and war. To be perfectly honest, reading this was like both like coming home and like seeing a clear vision of what a saner future might be like. Thank you!
